Skin Disinfection
Plasma desinfection of skin and hands
Two non-thermal, low temperature plasma units are being used to perform research on skin disinfection. The objective of this research programme is to develop a low-power plasma device which can be used to disinfect skin and hands at atmospheric pressure. This research programme is perfomed in cooperation with the UMC St. Radboud, TNO Defence and Security and Bactimm BV.

Another goal of this research programme is to realize advanced disinfection and healing of wounds with non-thermal plasma technology.
Filtex is working on the improvement of hand hygiene in healthcare settings and supports the WHO project: Clean Hands Saves lives.
